This is the first time that I've tried eyeshadow by The Body Shop. I think that for eyeshadow lovers like I am this palette is a must have. It has a wide range of neutral eyeshadows and is suitable for every skin tone. Most shadows are matte, or nearly matte which makes it perfect for an everyday use. The new Down To Earth Eye Shadow Glow Palette comes with eight shades. All shadows can be used dry, or wet for an even more intense look. 

1 is a nude beige color with a matte finish

2 is a medium brownish beige color with a matte finish

3 is a golden color with a satin finish

4 is a medium brownish bronze color with a satin finish

5 is a medium reddish brown color with a satin finish

6 is a greenish gray color with a satin finish

7 is a deep brownish purple shade with silver micro glitter

8 is a black color with a matte finish

Catrice just released new products and I had to buy two of them. However, today I wanna talk about the 'eye & brow contouring palette' and I've got it in the shade 'but first, hot coffee!'. Actually you can only choose between two shades. You are supposed to use these shadows for your brows and eyes. Catrice included directions on the back. However, I don't know how I should feel about these and I don't follow them.

Contouring is a trend for quite some time. It's supposed to narrow and sculpt your face using powders or liquids. However it looks like strobing will be the new big thing. It's out there for quite some time, but these days I see it everywhere. Strobing is supposed to enhance your features instead of building a new face. It's all about highlighting instead of creating depth. You're supposed to apply highlighter on the highest points of your face. Always use a light hand and don't use too much product at once. Have you tried the new trend and do you like it?

Max Factor just released a strobing-set and it basically includes all you need. I saw it at the store and had to buy it. This set also inspired me to write this post. It's available in light, medium and dark. The strobing set comes with the Skin Luminizer Foundation, the Color Precision Eyeshadow and the CC Stick Highlighter. 

The Skin Luminizer Foundation has a dewy finish without looking overly shiny. It's oil controlling and very long lasting. I would say that this foundation provides medium coverage and still looks quite natural. The texture is lovely and it blends perfectly. I have to admit that the foundation is a little bit too dark for my skin tone. I hope that it will match me in summer. The CC Stick Highlighter is very creamy and easy to apply. It blends nicely into my skin and will last the whole day. I like that this highlighter stick has a slightly shiny finish, but doesn't contain any glitter so I won't look like a disco ball. Lastly the Color Precision Eyeshadow in the shade Pearl Beige is a lovely waterproof cream eyeshadow. The pigmentation is great and the eyeshadow blends nicely without any harsh lines. However this shadow will crease on me during the day and my eyelids will feel oily after around 6 hours. What's your favorite product from this set and do you own any?

After Max Factor launched The Smokey Eye Drama Kit I was in love with it. However I only bought one of these palettes recently. Their eyeshadow palettes are available in four shades. Max Factor claims this product to be highly pigmented and easy to use. Each palette comes with four matching eyeshadows and an applicator.

The packaging is made out of plastic. The front is transparent with golden details printed on it. Each palette comes with an dual-ended applicator. I like that all eyeshadows are separated between each other. All shadows are extremely soft and it's easy to work with them. The pigmentation is lovely and buildable. These shadows will blend easily without any harsh lines and they won't smudge nor crease easily. Even the darker shades won't fade a lot during the day and only have little fallout.

The packaging is quite nice. It's made out of rose gold colored plastic. All shadows are separated from each other and the palette even comes with an applicator. However there  is no mirror on the inside. It's very easy to work with these shadows and they will blend easily. However the darker shades have some fallout. All shadows are very soft and silky. Most of them aren't matte and contain some glitter. I would say that all shadows will last around 8 hours without smudging. They might fade a little bit during the day, but I still look representable in the evening.

I really like this eyeshadow palette by Maybelline. It's very affordable and the eyeshadows are gorgeous. It's very easy to work with them and they won't crease nor smudge during the day. Although the darker shadows have some fallout. Most shadows contain some decent amount of micro glitter and it might be  too much for some people. Have you tried this palette and do you like it?
